Halloumi is a semi-hard, unripened, brine cheese made from cow's milk. It has a high melting point and can easily be fried or grilled. Many people wonder is halloumi healthy, and in fact halloumi offers more than just great taste. It comes with several nutritional benefits including: High in protein: A 28-gram serving contains around 7 grams of protein, helping with muscle growth, tissue repair, and immune support. When eaten raw, halloumi has a firm, slightly rubbery texture and a very salty, squeaky bite. Because the flavor is quite pronounced, it is most commonly enjoyed uncooked in Mediterranean regions paired with fresh fruit (like watermelon or grapes) or tossed into salads.
