Moroccan spice paste with roasted red peppers & chilli
Known as a ‘wonder ingredient’, Harissa Paste is made from chillies, roasted red peppers, garlic, oil & spices that are blended to a paste. It can be added to any dish, or marinade. Think roast lamb, shakshuka, wraps, soups or stews.
Ingredients:
Tomatoes, red peppers (23%), vegetable oil (canola or sunflower), sundried tomatoes (preservative: sulphur dioxide), fresh garlic (4%), salt, coriander (3%), sugar, cumin, red chillies (2%), spices, apple cider vinegar, herbs, lemon juice, ascorbic acid.
Allergens:
Sulphur dioxide. Made in a factory that uses tree nuts and cow’s milk. Allergen control programme in place.
Serving Suggestion:
Add Harissa Paste early in the cooking process so that your dish soaks up all those spicy flavours. Use in a marinade or, if you're a big fan, serve on the side, thinned with a little olive oil or yoghurt.
Freeze It:
Spoon this paste into ice cube trays and once frozen, store in a ziplock bag for portioning out when needed. The whole jar can be stored in the freezer without cracking for up to 3 months.
